Known as Josie to many and Pining to her friends and relatives at Pangasinan. A very gentle-hearted woman who consideres diplomacy in handling misunderstandings and agitations in life. A devoted loving mother who consideres her children and grandchildren above all else.
Family Synopsis
"Magmahalan kayo sapagkat ito lamang ang kaya kong dalhin sa kabilang buhay." This was one of the last messages our mother gave us. A true evidence of her unfailing love for her children. She has taught us that love is the most effective way to end all misunderstandings.
Her battle against cancer might be one of the longest in history. For more than 6 years, she persevered to survive and gave ample time to see her children stable in life and guide them to the right way in taking care of her grandchildren.
She was born in Calasiao, Pangasinan by Mariano (1901-1966) and Emilia (1903-1997) Ballesteros with siblings Crispin (2009), Pascual (1988), and Vicente (2011).
She was married last 1968 to Ernesto Malicdem with children Judith, Jeanette and Ervin. Grandchildren; Jeammie and Tonee Villanueva; Julian and Russel Enriquez.
Career Synopsis
Josie finished a degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology (Manila) 1970 and worked at Philippine National Railways until 1982. After which, she dedicated her time as a housewife and a part-time businesswoman for jewelry and ceramics.
